Order Not Executing? 5-Day Checks from Quote to IOC to Find the Block

The order is simply not executing.

Have you checked the order book first?

"Why is only my order not executing?"

Most reasons are visible. Please check them right away.

1) Did you match the quote price?

A limit order requires your price to meet the quote to execute.

Confusing market and limit orders changes execution conditions.

A limit order sets the price yourself, and a market order has execution priority immediately.

2) Is liquidity (volume) sufficient?

Remaining size: check the sell and buy remaining quantities next to the quote.

If remaining size is small, most of your order will stay unfilled.

Low-liquidity stocks have varying execution probability by time of day.

3) Are you caught in auction rules or trading hours?

Auction, market open, and market close periods use different execution methods.

Priority and price determination work differently in these periods.

4) Did you choose the right order type (IOC, FOK, etc.)?

IOC/FOK: if not executed immediately, these types get canceled.

A limit order for a longer duration leaves waiting time for execution.

5) Any issues with the trading app, servers, or account balance?

Check account balance, available quantity, and collateral status.

Broker server or order transmission delays can also prevent execution.

"What if I checked everything and it still does not execute?"

Contact the broker customer center with the order number. If that does not work, try the following.

An auction decides prices at once during certain pre-open and pre-close periods.

So, where to start?

→ 1. Match the quote and the price you entered again: market order has immediate execution priority, limit order requires checking the quote.

→ 2. Check remaining size and execution strength: if size is small, change the time or split into small orders.

→ 3. Change order type or trading period and resend: if IOC/FOK, try switching to a limit order or extend time.
